The Boanerges were born as a threesome in 1990, namely: Aldo (guitar), Chicco (guitar) and Diego (voice). They played initially just for fun, and only when Checco at bass joined them, did the group find its way with Heavy-melodic.

Some drummers alternated in the group, until finally Andrea came in.

In the meanwhile, Chicco left the group to devote himself entirely to painting and comics. He was replaced by Diego, voice and guitar.

Another important date for the Boanerges is May 2001, when at the Venetic Concert II in San Donà di Piave they opened the way to the White Skull.

In May 2002 Andrea left the group, and a difficult period began.
